The Summit’s Plenary Session explores National Security in the context of a changing world order post-globalisation. Themes include the greater role of AI; disruptive hardware innovation (HardTech); and how these may benefit, and challenge, advanced manufacturing regional clusters.
In the morning breakout session the theme of National Security will be presented through the prism of the technologies which can contribute most to building greater self-reliance in Military Defence (such as critical dual-use technologies), Energy Security (such as renewables and new nuclear) and Economic Resilience (such as automation and AI for greater productivity).
In the afternoon, selected HardTech companies will pitch for investment. This will conclude with a session on scaling public-private patient capital to help retain highly-valued technologies within the UK.
